KONKR Pocket Block Available for Pre-order Now, Expected to Ship at the ‘End of October’
If you thought AYANEO had gone quiet on their mysterious vertical handheld, think again. The KONKR Pocket Block has officially emerged from the shadows and is ready for pre-order.
This little device is aiming for that sweet spot of “pocketable” and “capable.” It features a 3.3-inch screen and a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, which means you can comfortably play everything up to PSP. It’s a vertical form factor similar to the Miyoo Mini Plus, making it perfect for one-handed retro sessions on the bus or during a lunch break.
Here’s the quick breakdown of the deal:
- The Colors: Cube Purple, Original Grey, and “Atoms White” (we’re still questioning that last one).
- The Specs: Android 12, 3.3″ LCD, and up to 3GB of RAM.
- The Price: Early bird pricing starts at a very tempting $79.
A word of caution: AYANEO has a bit of a reputation for “announcement-to-shipping” delays. If you want to snag one at the discount price before the expected late-October shipping window, you might want to move fast. Just maybe aim for the 3GB RAM version if you want to avoid the inevitable Android software bloat.
