Denuvo Asks Court to Unmask Game Cracker ‘voices38’, Reveals Crypto Transactions
It turns out that playing digital hide-and-seek with a multi-billion dollar corporation is much harder than it looks.
Denuvo, the heavy-hitting anti-tamper software used to protect major titles like Hogwarts Legacy, is officially on the hunt for the anonymous game cracker known as “voices38.” Since the cracker is currently a ghost, Denuvo is asking a California court to help them unmask the person behind the handle by subpoenaing the heavyweights: Discord, Valve, and Reddit.
Denuvo isn’t just looking for a username; they want the full digital paper trail. This includes:
- Steam: Billing addresses, names, and payment histories.
- Discord & Reddit: Server memberships, roles, and every single comment ever posted.
- Crypto: The company has already flagged suspicious cryptocurrency transactions on FixedFloat involving Bitcoin and Solana.
While “voices38” previously brushed the legal threats off with a nonchalant “everything will continue as normal,” the cracking scene is already feeling the chill. Groups are disbanding and links are disappearing. Whether this is a coincidence or the sound of the legal hammer dropping remains to be seen, but the hunt is officially on.
