Anbernic RG DDS Price and Release Details Leaked Ahead of Pre-orders

If you were planning on keeping a secret, Anbernic clearly didn’t get the memo. In a classic case of “jumping the gun,” the company’s own AliExpress store accidentally leaked the pricing and launch details for the highly anticipated RG DDS.
For those looking to grab one, pre-orders are set to kick off tomorrow, October 16, at 6 AM ET. You’ll have two flavors to choose from: a base 8GB/128GB model starting at $299.99, and a beefier 12GB/256GB version for $364.99. If you move fast, you can snag a $15 pre-sale discount on either.
Just a heads-up: don’t expect this to be an instant gratification purchase. While pre-orders start now, shipping doesn’t roll out until December 10, with a promise to wrap everything up by late January.
The real battle, however, is the hardware. The RG DDS is packing a Snapdragon G2 Gen 2, which puts it in direct competition with Retroid’s Pocket Duo. It’s essentially a showdown of chipsets—and whether that extra power is worth the premium price tag.
