Grab your charging cables and clear some space on your nightstand, because the holiday handheld rush has officially arrived.
The big news this week is the AYN Odin 3 Portal, which has finally kicked off pre-orders. With configurations ranging from a budget-friendly 12GB/128GB model to a powerhouse 16GB/1TB beast, it’s clear AYN is aiming to be the heavy hitter for the upcoming gift-giving season.
But it’s not just about new hardware. If you’re looking for a mid-range fix, the Anbernic RG DDS is also making waves with some decent pre-order discounts. Meanwhile, the software side is buzzing: AMD FSR 4.1 is rolling out for x86 handhelds, and Microsoft is testing a “Cloud Playtime” subscription that lets you stream Xbox games for as little as $3.99.
Quick Hits for the Week:
- AYANEO Update: Most Pocket Advance pre-orders are shipping, but Pocket Micro 2 fans will have to wait until November.
- Emulation Win: A massive milestone has been reached, with 80% of all PS3 games now reportedly playable on PC.
Watch Out: A fake Stardew Valley* port for the Miyoo Mini was flagged for containing Windows malware—stay vigilant!
