Don’t Be Surprised if the KONKR Pocket Block Doesn’t Ship Before Thanksgiving
If you were planning on gifting yourself a shiny new KONKR Pocket Block for the holidays, you might want to temper those expectations.
AYANEO finally opened pre-orders for this vertical retro handheld after a six-month wait, but there’s a catch hidden in the fine print. In a sudden disclaimer sent to subscribers, the company revealed they are facing a significant RAM shortage. This means production is strictly limited, and that “shipping starts at the end of October” promise is looking increasingly optimistic.
The real kicker? This shortage isn’t mentioned on the actual product pages or store listings. Unless you spent hours watching their recent livestream, you’d be none the wiser until you hit that checkout button.
The takeaway here is twofold:
- Supply is tight: Don’t expect a massive restock if you miss the first wave.
- Transparency is… lacking: AYANEO promised more honesty with their launches, but hiding supply chain issues in email disclaimers rather than on the storefront feels like a bit of a dodge.
If you’re eyeing one for a Thanksgiving gift, you might want to have a Plan B ready.
