Grab your coffee and settle in—it’s been a wild week in the handheld world, ranging from “magic trick” shipping mishaps to massive software breakthroughs.
First up, some bad news for Retroid fans. While everyone was hyped for the Pocket Nova, a growing number of customers are reporting a literal “now you see it, now you don’t” situation: they’re receiving empty packages. It’s a frustrating start for a highly anticipated device. On a brighter note, AYANEO is finally moving on the KONKR Pocket Block, which is now available for pre-order (though don’t expect it to arrive before Thanksgiving).
In the software realm, we have a genuine win: the Halo: Combat Evolved decompilation is here. This means the legendary shooter is becoming playable almost anywhere—including your browser and retro handhelds.
Quick hits to keep you in the loop:
- ModRetro Leaks: New transparent color options for the Chromatic are making the rounds.
- EmuDeck Update: The “Armada” update is live, making setup a breeze for ArmadaOS users.
- SeedlessDS: The long-awaited public release is finally here to boost DS emulation on low-powered Android devices.
Whether you’re hunting for deals or troubleshooting an empty box, it’s a busy time to be a handheld enthusiast!
