AYANEO Pocket Micro 2 Review: The Ultimate Micro Handheld?

### Small Device, Big Upgrades
If you thought the first AYANEO Pocket Micro was “enough,” think again. The sequel has arrived, and while it looks remarkably similar on the outside, the internal and ergonomic upgrades are making a massive difference in how it actually feels to play.
The biggest win here isn’t just the guts—it’s the ergonomics. AYANEO finally rounded off those sharp corners that used to dig into your palms, and they’ve recessed the analog sticks so they aren’t constantly poking your fingers. Even the shoulder buttons got a facelift, moving to a “waterfall” design that lets you rest your fingers naturally rather than curling them awkwardly.
Under the hood, things are looking much beefier:
- The Brains: A Snapdragon 865 chip that smokes the previous model.
- The Power: A significantly larger 3,950mAh battery.
- The Capability: It handles PSP with ease and can even tackle most GameCube and PS2 titles (with a little tinkering).
It’s a premium, heavy-duty little powerhouse. Just a heads-up: if you want the “Stardust Purple” color, prepare to pay a premium, and if you’re ordering from AYANEO, maybe don’t expect it to arrive any time soon.
